Compose like mail. Seal like a chest. Store ciphertext. The host cannot open it.
Mail on the public internet is a postcard with extra steps. Midtown Vault treated the letter as a chest: subject and body sealed before they leave the browser, attachments too.
The protocol stores a seal, not the body. If it is not yours to read, it remains sealed. An alias can point at a wallet. A 0x can receive. The operator cannot grep the prose.
Arcanus Mail is this work with a product name. The vault taught us that ciphertext-only storage is not a slogan. It is a split in the architecture: we can see that a letter exists. We cannot see the letter.
